Dr. Velázquez did his general medical studies at the University of Guadalajara and went on to his specialty in general surgery at the Regional Hospital in Guadalajara. He has many and varied post graduate courses including clinical nutrition, thyroid surgery and ano-rectal surgery, he obtained his Diploma in Advance Laparoscopic surgery in Tijuana with the prestigious Dr. Lopez Corvala as his mentor.
He has been in practice in both public institutions and private practice in Puerto Vallarta for over 15 years in several of the most prestigious private hospitals in the city, and he is not limited to general or laparoscopic surgery, but also resolves problem of complicated hernias, thyroid gland diseases, anorectal problems with the philosophy to bring the best results to his patients.
